Global Teams

We are passionate about the call to go out into the world and make disciples of all nations. We have many opportunities locally and globally to make a difference in the world and to share the love and the message of Jesus Christ. Please take a look below on how you can serve on a local or global mission trip:

Poland (Piotrkow)

June 8-17, 2018

Mission: PROeM is a non-profit Polish Christian mission working for the benefit of young people. The headquarters is in Warsaw with daily operations in the Christian Youth Center in Zakosciele. PROeM Ministries has existed in Poland since 1990, and is based on the teaching of the Bible and Christian ethics, while working together with Polish churches as well as churches from other countries. PROeM has organized summer and winter camps for children and youth from differing social classes and churches for over 18 years. PROeM promotes recreation and relaxation that joins sports and games, along with Biblical teaching and spiritual growth.
This summer, Mount Pleasant is privileged to partner with PROeM as together we welcome kids from Eastern Ukraine. These children are referred to as “warzone kids” and they range in age from 7-12. They have lived in terrible ongoing crisis. While at camp they will experience the simple pleasures of being outdoors, having cookouts, hanging out by the bonfire making s’mores, laughing, joking and just having a good time. What an opportunity we have to be Christ to those who have yet to know who He is. We will also be sending a team to help PROeM with community outreach in Piotrkow by helping with service projects and visiting local schools. We will also begin working together with PROeM to establish a church plant.

NOTE: Application is due by February 4, 2018 at the first team meeting.

There will also be three sports seminars during that week with about 100 youth involved. During this seminar, we will play and teach soccer and volleyball and talk about being a Christian athlete and what impact they can have out in their daily environments. Austria

        September 2-14, 2018

Mission: TCM International Institute develops Christian leaders through graduate education so that they can more effectively influence their churches, cultures, and countries for Christ.
TCM comes alongside native Christians who have a passion for reaching their own countries for Christ. Through their institute they can develop a Christian leader for ministry for only 1% of the cost it would take to send a U.S. missionary to that same country. Since these individuals already know the cultures and languages, they are able to have successful ministries and are equipped for a lifetime of service.
TCM’s main teaching facility, Haus Edelweiss, is located in Vienna, Austria. In order to keep ministry costs at a minimum, TCM brings in mission teams to work within the Haus Edelweiss facilities. A week serving at Haus Edelweiss could look like many different things: you might find yourself working in the kitchen, helping on the grounds, doing routine maintenance, or cleaning their facilities. All types of service are needed in order to keep TCM running efficiently!

          Mexico

          October 14-20, 2018

Mission: Casas por Cristo relies on the labor and resources of
full time staff missionaries, a board of over 100 pastors and community leaders from Mexico, Guatemala and Dominican Republic, and nearly 7,000 annual volunteers from across North America. Through these cross-cultural partnerships, volunteer teams are presented with an amazing opportunity to build a home for a family in need.
Come and join us in showing God’s love and faithfulness to a family in need. During this one-week experience you will transform an otherwise empty lot into a safe and secure home – complete with cement foundation, electricity, windows and doors. Each family receives a tangible symbol of the faithfulness and unconditional love of Jesus Christ. As a volunteer, you will gain perspective on the extreme poverty that exists in our world. You will also be blessed to see how you’ve changed the world for this family. As a result, these families better understand God’s plan for their
lives and His deep desire to take care of their needs.

Teams are helping build toward this vision through their four pillars of Leadership Development, Education, Healthcare, and Economic Empowerment. Supporting all of the pillars, and ultimately the vision, is a foundation of Spiritual Development.
