Chris Philbeck has been the Senior Pastor of Mount Pleasant Christian Church since October 2001 and has served in full-time ministry since 1980. Before coming to Mount Pleasant, Chris served as the Senior Pastor of Northside Christian Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Kingsbridge Christian Church (now Providence Christian Church) in Sugar Land, Texas. Chris has had the privilege of planting a new church, leading a turn-around church and now a megachurch. Chris is passionate about biblical preaching, effective leadership, helping people discover the new and better life they can have in Christ and developing new ways for the local church to make an IMPACT in the community and the world.

In addition to providing leadership to the local church, Chris has been involved in a variety of para-church ministries. He was a founding member of the board of directors of The Solomon Foundation and the Chairman of the U.S. Board of Central India Christian Mission (CICM) as well as many other ministries.

Chris loves spending time with his wife, Sandy, children Andrew (wife Kara) and Tricia (husband Morgan), and his three grandkids, Grace, Jack, and Wyatt, golfing and rooting for the University of Oklahoma Sooners (BOOMER!).
